My general electric washer doesn’t want to complete its cycle!?

| May 14, 2010 | 1 Comment

I put in my load of colored clothes at about close to one o clock (eastern time). Usually the colored cycle takes 59 minutes but after an hour, I went down there and it said it still had 30 minutes to go! 30 minutes later I came back and it said 28 minutes. It keeps stopping and pausing at 28 minutes. It’s 3:40 right now and that single load still isn’t done! I have this http://www.geappliances.com/products/introductions/frontload/ and we only had it for about a year or so. What should we do?

general electric washer repair?

| May 11, 2010 | 1 Comment

My washer is spinning out of control whenever the spinning cycle activates and then it cuts off without finishing the entire wash cycle. It leaves my white and light colored clothes with dirty marks on them and white marks on the dark-colored clothes. I have tried changing detergents and switching between powdered and liquid washing soap but nothing seems to work. When it is spinning out the water to rinse or during the final spin the machine sounds like the middle sounds like it’s going to jump out of the machine. What can be the problem and/or a possible solution?
